aftermath?

Back home.

I can definitely say this tour has been a very positive experience, I’m gonna miss my new friends from Alexander Mckenzie & The Underpaid, and all the new friends we met together at shows, in Bremen and Hamburg especially. Right now I’m supposed to be “on vacation” – which means that I deliberately left this week empty so I can just be at home and do nothing, just rest from the tour. But I must say it’s really hard just to do nothing! So I find myself thinking a lot about… anything. My next songs, and ideas for lyrics.

Anyway, next week the “Paper Cuts” tour returns to life, Yael and me are going to play @ the Morgan Bar in Kiryat Hayim on the 23/3 and @ the “Cafe Betnua” in Kibbutz Gaaton on the 24/3.  I can’t wait to play with Yael again after touring solo for 3 weeks. I miss it.

I’ll end this post with my official “Song Of The Tour” – Arcade Fire’s “Ocean Of Noise”. Feels like a good way to end a post about nothing..

Thank you Gottingen, and Hamburg once again :)

been away from the artist’s flat for 2 days, we went to Gottingen and played at the “Blooming
Bar”, slept in an amazing village nearby at the club owner’s house, I’ve never seen such beautiful landscapes before, felt like being inside a poster of a cheese advertisement, AFTER the photoshop treatment, but for real.

And then, well, Hamburg once again, which seems to have won a special place in my heart. Played at the famous Astra-Stube club (thank you Nils and Bruno for the warm welcome!) and met the wonderful local band “Torpus” that really reminded me of the Waterboys, even though they never heard of them. It was an uplifting irish-country-folk show with lots of positive energies and vocal harmonies, acoustic guitars, accordion and cello. Slept at an artists flat nearby and had the following day free to walk around the city. Finished our visit with another gig, this time at a bar called “Freundlich unt Kompetent” in which almost no one listened cause they were too busy drinking and talking, but at least the workers there were cool and we met the guys from Torpus (and their friends) again and had fun. Thank you guys for everything I definitely wanna be back in Hamburg as soon as possible!

Came back to Bremen that same night and today we’re going to Hannover. Soon we will be done with the “Songs and Whispers” tour and I’ll go to Berlin and Frankfurt on my own, to do my final shows and head back to Israel.

woke up it was a Bremen Morning

Sky is partly cloudy today and it’s windy but even so, we will go to see the city today. We’ve been here for so long and haven’t really seen the place. We got some free time today till the evening when we have to go to Oldenburg.

Yesterday we played at the Townside Hostel, here in Bremen, and once again I had an amazing show with the local audience here, turns out that so far the Bremen audience is the best I’ve had. I’m glad that the final show of the tour will also take place here, it would be a good way to say goodbye.

I stepped into a record store the other day and found my album sitting on the “new releases” shelf at the entrance and got really excited. So I took a picture of myself next to it like a total new kid in the buisness. I will upload it here soon :)

Dortmund, Osnabruck and Judas Priest.

What an amazing thing it is, to play in Pauluskirche in Dortmund, you get that natural big long reverb.. I’d especially like to thank the sweet fan who came from Berlin especially to see me! that was unexpected :) I’m sorry I didn’t play Animal Heart for you, I’m having some problams with performing this song by myself but if you’ll come to the gigs in Berlin on the 8th and 9th of March I PROMISE I’ll play it.

Last night I met some great people at the Big Buttinsky in Osnabruck, thank you Torsten for the amazing balloons and also to Torsten’s wife and to Elisa for being such a cute listening audience I hope you’re reading this!

Today I’ll be busking again in Bremen next to the Hot Shot Records Store at 15:00, and in the Evening we’ll play at the Townside Hostel. I hope to see all the cool new people I’ve met at the last show I did in Bremen (at the Falstaff).

I recieved a cool picture from my manager yesterday, of an advertisement for my album in a German magazine, right next to Judas Priest. I can now retire peacefully…check it out..

hello from Germany

Just my luck, I wrote an extensive post and it was deleted when the laptop suddenly decided to restart itself.

so anyway, this tour is very inetersting and very intensive. Yesterday we did some busking at the Bremen Airport and two promotional spots on for Center.TV, one invloved playing a song inside a driving cab for a show called “sasha”.

The gig at Falstaff Cafe in the evening was unquestionably the best gig I’ve had on the tour so far, thank you kind people of Bremen for all the attention and love! I hope to see you this Friday 26.2 @ “Townside Hotel” and on the 7.3 in “Club Moments”. Today we’re traveling to Frankfurt to play at the “25 hours by levis” hostel, and from there on to Dortmund to play at the “Pauluskirche”.

welcome to my official website

I decided that it would be much nicer to have a website of my own,
so I guess this is the beginning of something new.

As you can see I placed the informative sections (Biography, Discography and Shows)
on the upper menu, and the more dynamic sections on the side bar (Free Goodies, Videos, Pictures).
Free Goodies – well, I plan on giving stuff for free every once in a while,
and all you have to do is just sign up to the mailing list and the downloading
links will be given to you.

The mailing list is a very very important factor for me,
this is my way to be in touch with you all and spoil you with whatever, whenever,
and your way to know about shows and receive discounts for those you wish to attend.

You can use either the sign up button above or the one inside the free goodies section.
And last but not least, this blog.
It’s been a long time since I last maintained a blog but I think I remember how to do it.
You’re all welcome to post your comments and make this website a real living and dynamic space.

You are my audience, and you’re as important as the musician here.

Welcome.

Amit
